Mmmmmm, contentment!

It’s undisputable that the beach is one of the best places on earth. And even if you’re not sitting on one right now, you could be feeling just as refreshed! Rounded up from my not-so-extensive product collection are these fantastic, sea-inspired products that I literally reach for on the daily. Summer brings out the beauty minimalist in me. All I need is a salty scent, mermaid hair, and a bit of moisture on the suntan, because less time at the vanity means more time for summer adventures!

Here are my favorites!!

Old Whaling Co. Bar Soap in Oceanswept and Sea la Vie– We discovered this darling Southern bath product company years ago and have used their soap for our showers ever since. Like, exclusively. They’re based in Charleston S.C., all of their fragrances are out of this world delicious, and the owner, April, is so kind and full of heart. The scent of Oceanswept is clean and a bit wild, definitely uni-sex (my husband loves this one), while Sea la Vie is sweeter, fresh, and juicy.

Also from Old Whaling Co. are two body butters in Seaweed & Sea Salt and Sea la Vie– I have to say, the Seaweed & Sea Salt fragrance smells EXACTLY like the beach!! It’s sunny, sandy, salty, and suntan lotion-y all mixed into one! I get a ton of compliments when I wear this. Everyone wants to know what it is and where I got it. It’s that perfect!

Pacifica Sea Foam Complete Face Wash– Keeps my normal-to-oily skin breakout free all summer. But also doesn’t over-dry it when I get a little too much sun. Annnnnd, smells like warm coconut florals.

Pacifica SPF 35 Mattify & Protect Daily Priming Lotion– This one is magic. Keeps the slick at bay, keeps makeup looking smooth, and is actually effective against the sun! We were at the beach all last week and I used this as my main facial sunscreen. Didn’t even reapply like you’re supposed to and I never got burned! I was so impressed at its effectivity against those harsh beach rays!

Bumble & Bumble Surf Foam Spray Blow Dry– I have thick but fine hair. Read: flat and lank in Georgia’s heat and humidity. I spray this very delightfully scented foam mid-shaft and it gives so much life and texture! My waves get wavier and there’s generally more grip and less slip if I want to pop it into a pony/braid/topknot.

Milk Makeup Cooling Water Stick Mini– As the name implies, this little guy cools down the eye area. Very refreshing! Depuffs and soothes, too, using sea minerals and caffeine for a very effective summer pick-me-up!

Pacifica 7 Free Nail Color in Magic Conch Shell– A pretty peach shade I use as a beachy nude on my fingers and toes. I’ve found that this brand is the most chip-resistant of all the natural polishes I’ve tried.
